Abstract

This paper provides an account of how transformational leadership can be used to facilitate employee motivation in the study of organizational cultures especially in the Indian National Capital Region (IT sector). It is understood that motivation is a principal factor in the driving of performance and the success rate of employees in an organization, the study will therefore explore how leaders who emulate the dimensions of vision, inspiration, intellectual stimulation, as well as individualized consideration, affect intrinsic and external motivation of the workforce. Quantitative data on 300 employees were collected via a structured questionnaire, and qualitative data were collected in the form of flawless responses. The use of descriptive statistics and ANOVA conducted with SPSS software showed that high frequencies of high scores of perceptions of high transformational leadership have a strong correlation with considerably higher levels of motivation. According to the findings, behaviors of transformational leadership like the articulation of a clear and compelling vision, creation of psychological safety, and personal support play a crucial role in encouraging engagement, creativity, and long-term effort on the part of the employees. The results add to the existing literature on leadership style and motivation levels and provide a guideline on how organizations can develop a people oriented leadership exercise to implement the strategic objectives amid the changing business world.
