Abstract

  This article aims to analyze current regulations related to energy management in Ecuador. This work focuses on a documentary methodology, not cross-sectional experimental, in whose analysis is perceived the Ecuadorian electricity sector, it is governed by the national government in the processes of generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy in a safe and efficient way, within from the field of protection and care of the environment. This genre allows the regulations of the National Electricity Council to be positive, especially 004/11 that establishes fixed prices in a certain period, which in turn effectively affects local, regional and national investment, because this service is fundamental to society.
