Impact of climate change after covid and Russia Ukraine war in India
Abstract
This article takes a multifaceted look at the growing effects of the COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, focusing on the need of peace and climate funding in creating fair and just transitioning mechanisms. It is driven by the need to deconstruct the expense and scale of mitigation actions in order to speed up the decarbonization agenda, as was discussed before to COP26 and reflected in the ensuing Glasgow Climate Pact. This is reaffirmed in the third volume of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) Assessment Report 6 (AR6), focusing on climate change adaptation and elaborating on the requirement of policy changes and technological advancements to achieve this end.
