Digitalization of Banking through ATM and POS: A Case Study of Public & Private Sector Banks in India

Abstract

The digitalization has transformed the financial scenario of Indian banking sector. There are different types of e-banking services which has significant impact on every financial transaction. The e-banking services have become an integral part of Indian banking sector. Modern e-banking services have significantly changed the life of a common man. The Automated Teller Machine and Point of Sale Machine are the main e-banking services. In this article an attempt has been made to study the growth and trend of ATM and POS machines in public and private sector banks in India during the last 10 years from 2013 to 2022.
