EFFECT OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES ON RURAL URBAN CONTINUUM AND LITERATUREIN ASSAM: SPACIAL REFERENCE TO JORHAT DISTRICT

Abstract

This paper is an attempt to find out thecontinuum of rural economic activities covering both rural and urban settings. Furthermore, industrialization and technological advancements can shape the form and content of literature. The rise of the industrial revolution, for example, led to significant social and economic changes. This had a profound impact on literature, with many writers reflecting on the alienation, dehumanization, and loss of connection to nature brought about by industrialization.The total households of Komar Gaon i.e 113 is the source of collecting primary data for the study. The study is structured on the basis of exploratory research design and used both interview schedule and observation method. The analysis indicates that occupational sources and workplace are the prime factor of creating relation between rural and urban as collaboration to each other.
