This article examines the issues of effective use of budget funds in improving the social protection system. In particular, the scientific works of local and foreign scientists in this regard have been studied. The execution of the state budget funds was analyzed and the ways of applying result-oriented budgeting in ensuring the effectiveness of social sector expenditures in the budget system were considered.
