A study on factors affecting self confidence of team game players with a reference to Football
Abstract
Games and sports are a significant contributor to the mental and physical development of individuals, particularly in younger generations. Beginning at an early age, parents should encourage their children to participate in sports. This is something that should be encouraged. Participating in sporting activities has the potential to both improve an individual's quality of life and discourage them from engaging in habits that are detrimental to their own health. This article's primary focus was on the ways in which students participated in sporting events that took place during their summer break. They are more prone to engage in negative behaviours during this leisure time and to participate in fewer activities overall if they are not provided with appropriately directed direction. The research was carried out with the participation of two hundred sixty-one students from two separate daily schools in the state of Pahang. A significant number of students take part in athletic activities, with roughly 41% of the student population participating in activities such as badminton, football, volleyball, and netball. The data also indicate the importance of supplemental facilities, such as a swimming pool and a bowling alley, in order to provide students with the option to participate in a range of sports. If facilities were provided that were tailored to their interests, they would be able to have more fun and be exposed to a greater variety of sports. As a consequence of this, students would have a lower likelihood of engaging in unhealthy behaviours and a higher likelihood of leading healthy lives. As a result, it is anticipated that the findings of this research will provide insightful information that may be utilised to positively impact the lives of students, particularly those who are enrolled in secondary school.
