Abstract

Ethics deal with “what that ought to be”. Patrick and Quinn (1997) defined ethics as
the study of individual and collective moral awareness, judgment, character and
conduct. Ethics involves a discipline that examines good or bad practices within the
context of a moral duty. Business ethics include practices and behaviors that are good
or bad. Ethics are moral guidelines which govern good behavior, doing what is morally
right. Ethical values are a combination of cultural norms, religious ideals, and personal
concepts of right and wrong
